Hulk to sign for Blues

Chelsea fans have been handed the biggest indication yet that Porto sensation Hulk is set to join the club, with midfielder Ramires telling reporters that he is adamant that his Brazilian teammate is set to join up with him at Stamford Bridge.

Ever since Chelsea’s Champions League triumph last month, the Blues have been linked with a whole host of reputable players – even though the club are still without a permanent manager. Having completed the signing of Eden Hazard earlier this week, rumours have been intensifying that Hulk is next on Roman Abramovich’s hit list.

Those rumours have been fuelled further today following a foreign interview with Ramires. The 25-year-old former Benfica man has said that he is sure that the deal will be completed and that Hulk will have no problems in adapting to the English culture, “I am following from here in Brazil the news about Hulk’s probable signing for Chelsea. It seems he is coming. I played with him in the Brazilian team, we were on opposing side when I played for Benfica and he would definitely add a lot to the team. If it was up to me it would already be settled. With the personality that he has, he will come, put on the shirt and start playing. He will not have any problem adapting. Both me and David Luiz will make him feel at home quickly. I hope it all works out.”

The signing of Hulk would undoubtedly make Chelsea even more of a force in world football next term, with Abramovich seemingly on a mission to recruit the world’s best. With Hulk being one of the most prolific goal scorers in Europe, having bagged forty eight goals over the past two campaigns, there is no doubt that he fits that category and could become a firm favourite at Stamford Bridge.
